Is the Real Housewives
divorce curse even real? Though so many couples from the Bravo reality TV franchise have ended in divorce, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
star Kyle Richards isn't buying it. However, she does have an explanation as to why numerous marriages on the show go down the drain.
"I really believe that a lot of people go into doing the Housewives
because they're not happy in their marriages. They're thinking, 'This is going to give me some independence, this is going to be my out.' And then the pressure starts, and they crack. It's inevitable," Richards told E! News
Richards has been married to Mauricio Umansky since 1996. The couple has three children together. Amid all the drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which Richards has been a part of since 2010, their relationship appears to be stronger than ever. The Bravo star credits her strong foundation with her husband as the key to surviving the challenges that come with the show.
"Like I said, you have to have a really strong foundation to begin with," she said of her marriage. "And we do, thank God. This show is obviously very stressful and very time consuming, but if anything, it's made us even closer. "
