Eva Marcille made her debut on The Real Housewives of Atlanta
on Sunday's episode and she already made some noise as she confronted Cynthia Bailey's new man, Will Jones, about having a girlfriend. While it appears that she's there to stir the pot, she insists that she wants to unite the Housewives.
"I bring a different perspective," Marcille told People
. "I look at this whole world through a different prism because I'm more of like, 'Hey guys, let's all get along. Let's see how we can all make this thing work' versus them thinking, 'I'm on an island all by myself and I'm my own person type thing.' "
"As a community of women -- of diverse women -- we're a lot more together and a lot more like a sisterhood," she added. "We should have each other's backs and root for each other. So I definitely come with a different idea of what this sisterhood should be. And that's healthy and a good thing because it's extremely harmonious. Which, I mean, don't we all need a little bit of harmony?"
Over the past seasons, many have attempted to play peacemaker among the cast but not everyone have succeeded. For Marcille, who earned quite a reputation during her stint on America's Next Top Model, her realityTV debut shouldn't be a basis for what she can and will bring to the table.
"When I look at the landscape and just the whole idea of reality television now ... I come from reality television in what, 2003? Which is before it was actually even a genre," said Marcille, who was 18 when she joined the Tyra Banks modeling show. "It was a competition based show. There were no real fight for the limelight, we were just kind of fighting for the prize. That's my reality."
Can Marcille really play peacemaker this season?
