Every Bachelor grapples with his choice at the end of his reality TV dating journey. Though it may sound like the same story every season, for Arie Luyendyk Jr. the struggle is very real. The race car driver reveals that he doesn't fall easily in love so having feelings for two women at the same time was a huge burden that he had to deal with.
"I did fall in love with two people, so it's going to be hard to watch that back, just because yeah, it's difficult," the season 22 star told E! News
. "I think I am the type of person that I don't fall in love very easily, so for me to fall in love with two people, it was hard for me."
While Arie struggled with his feelings, what ultimately shaped his decision was how the relationship would play out once the cameras stopped rolling.
"It's really easy to fall in love in this environment because it lends to it," he said. "But for the Bachelor, for myself, you really have to think about how is life going to be outside of the show? And that's really something that guides your decision-making."
Fans will have to stay tuned to find out whether Arie got engaged at the end of The Bachelor but he did reveal that he's "very happy" and that the finale is something to look forward to.
"The finale is going to be entertaining for everyone to watch just because I do have to make that decision," he teased.
Who do you think will Arie choose?
