Eight months after welcoming their daughter Emerson Avery, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert are already looking forward to expand their family. The Bachelor in Paradise couple want to have children who are close in age and will most likely try for more babies until they have at least one baby boy.

"We're kind of low-key trying for another baby," Roper told People. "We've been talking about it. We want our kids to be close in age so they're close siblings, and I'm not getting any younger."

"We'll see when the next one happens, but yeah -- we're officially not not trying!" added Tolbert.

Roper competed for Chis Soules on The Bachelor season 19 while Tolbert competed for Kaitlyn Bristowe on The Bachelorette season 11. They met and fell in love on the second season of Bachelor in Paradise. The couple stayed together until the finale, where they got engaged. The pair got married in January 2016 and their wedding was televised on Valentine's Day as part of ABC's special honoring 20 seasons of The Bachelor.  They welcomed their first child on August 17, 2017.

"I want to at least have one," admitted Tanner, who's looking forward to a baby boy. "We joke and I tell her that she's going to have to keep on trying until we get that boy."

"I mean, if we had four girls...I'm not saying I wouldn't try again," added Tanner, who says they will most likely stop with four children.

In the meantime, the pair is happily devoting their time raising their first born. "She just started sort of crawling," said Tolbert. "I mean, she can move. She slithers... And clapping... And she's starting to eat actual food, too. So that's all been in the last couple of weeks."

"He wants to just be the fun parent, for sure," Roper said of Tanner's parenting style.

"Maybe I'll change my tune when she gets older and I actually am mad at what she's doing," added Tolbert. "Maybe then I'll become strict. But I think I'll be the fun one."

The Bachelorette returns May 28 on ABC.
