Jef Holm just jumped on board the Arie Luyendyk Jr. hate train
. The former Bachelorette
winner, who was once engaged to Emily Maynard and who was once had a tight friendship with the recently announced Bachelor star
, slammed Luyendyk on social media just after he was announces as the season 22 lead.
"Oh the stories I could tell..." Holm tweeted. After Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss said that this was "by far the most positive reaction we've ever had to announcing the new #thebachelor," Holm replied by saying "he'd rather see a double bachelor."
Both Holm and Luyendyk competed for Maynard on The Bachelorette season eight and became close after the show. It's unclear what caused the feud but this is the first time Holm made a dig at his former pal in public.
Interestingly, Holm didn't stop there. He also called Luyendyk "disgusting" in response to a comment made by a follower (suggesting that Luyendyk has a habit of hooking up with college girls) which Reality Steve posted.
Maynard, on the other hand, is happy her runner-up got the gig.
"I can't think of a better person to be The Bachelor than Arie and I've been hoping this day would come since Season 8 ended!" she told Us Weekly
in a statement. "He's a gentleman through and through and all the girls on his season are lucky to have him."
Do you believe the rumors about the new Bachelor star?
