Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham now have a home to call their own. The Bachelor
couple purchased their first house together just weeks after Burnham uprooted her life to move in with the race car driver in his home in Arizona.
According to Us Weekly
, the pair went through nearly 70 properties but settled to buy a 2,607 square-feet single-family house with a white and gray exterior.
"Buying a house is obviously another huge step in our relationship and we are excited to really make this our home," Luyendyk Jr. told Us Weekly, adding that they initially wanted to make an offer on a re-model but realized how much work they had to put in it. "Lauren was completely overwhelmed."
"It was built this year and we can't wait to move in!" he said of their brand new home.
The pair got engaged during the After the Final Rose special, which aired the day after The Bachelor season 22 finale in which Luyendyk called off his engagement with his chosen woman, Becca Kufrin. They are planning to tie the knot this year.
According to Burnham, it wasn't difficult to look for the right house since she and her fiancee have similar tastes. "Our dogs are very excited. They are each going to have their own room ... I mean it does have four bedrooms. And, a big backyard to run around in, too," Burnham said.
As reported previously, Luyendyk and Burnham are "get along" really well, making their present living arrangement a pleasant experience so far. "I think it's strengthened our relationship," he said
. "We love hanging out together, and we're very similar. We get along, and it's just great."
