It's time to celebrate the holidays in season 9 episode 11 of NCIS: Los Angeles -- but a case isn't going to be the only concern this year. First, the team investigates a ransomware attack that takes out the entire power grid for west LA and paralyzes the city.

Also in "All Is Bright," Sam struggles to find the best way for his family to celebrate the first holiday season after Michelle's death.

Check out a sneak peek of failed decorating:

Eric may have hurt his arm for nothing -- apparently some people just don't know the meaning of "dibs" -- when Harley interrupts as he and Nell begin decorating for the holidays. Mosley doesn't allow any type of holiday display, Hidoko informs them, which means they need to make everything disappear before she sees any of it. But when something goes wrong and Mosley yells from her office for answers, Eric and Nell quickly leave.

Find out what the case of the week is:

The entire power grid from the Palisades to Playa Vista went dark at 8:42. An unknown source gained operational access to the electric company's systems, and the company is just the latest victim of a ransomware attack. The system is being held hostage for 20 million in bitcoin. With their office in the center of the blackout zone, they need to make sure they weren't the intended target.

Eric's going in the field with Sam -- but the only thing he's packing is his computer. No, he can't bring his gun, even though he argues that people do crazy things in the dark.
