The team is after a woman out for revenge in this episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. In "Forasteira," they track a highly skilled assailant determined to avenge her father's death by killing a Brazilian diplomat.

Watch a sneak peek of the crime scene:

The 911 call came in around closing time. Someone went to a lot of trouble to torch the place, and Sam finds a fuse from a thermite grenade. It burns at 4000 degrees, almost through anything. And yes, that includes a hard drive with security footage. Whoever did this knew the place and wanted to destroy the evidence.

See what Eric finds out about the thermite grenade:

Kensi and Harley find Eric "stress eating sugar" after he can't find their suspect on traffic cameras in the area at the time of the explosion. Kensi reminds him that the woman killed three men (and two were former military), so it's understandable that she can evade cameras.

Eric has confirmed that Sam found a fuse from a thermite grenade, and the only way for a civilian to get one is through the black market. That means their suspect has ties to the military or a black market contact. A case of these grenades did go missing from a marine base a year ago, but that job would be almost impossible to pull off. ATF does have a suspect in that case.
