Littlefinger's death in the Game of Thrones Season 7 finale was one of the most satisfying deaths we've seen. After his many betrayals and schemes, his games finally caught up to him. But is this the last we've seen of Petyr Baelish's face?

Littlefinger did his best to drive a wedge between Sansa and Arya Stark on Season 7 of Game of Thrones. He tried to convince Sansa that Arya was going to kill her and become Lady of Winterfell while he led Arya to believe that Sansa betrayed their family.

But the Stark sisters were on to Littlefinger's schemes. Of course they knew he was plotting something; Sansa learned from the best. So they made a show of Sansa confronting Arya before they turned and revealed that they were accusing Littlefinger of murder and treason. They laid out all his crimes before Arya slit his throat with the Catspaw dagger.

It was such a great scene. Littlefinger, of course, convinced Lysa Arryn to kill her husband Jon and tell the Starks the Lannisters did it, which started Game of Thrones. He betrayed Ned Stark. And he even betrayed Catelyn and Sansa Stark despite claiming to love them. Sansa relied on him for a long time, but she finally wised up to his games. And she took him down while he begged and claimed he loved her.

But while Littlefinger is definitely dead -- this isn't another Jon Snow situation -- we could see him again in Season 8 of Game of Thrones. Throughout Season 7, Arya never let anyone forget that she became a badass Faceless Men assassin. The season began with Arya wearing the face of the man she just killed, Walder Frey, and killing the rest of the Frey men. She then showed off her fighting skills, acted stealthy, stoic and aloof, and even let Sansa see her bag of faces.

But was the Walder Frey scene foreshadowing what Arya will do with Littlefinger? Now that Arya has killed Littlefinger, a theory is swirling that she'll add his face to her bag too. As Vanity Fair notes, she could even wear his face to go to King's Landing and get close with Cersei and try to cross her off her list.

Did you think Littlefinger deserved to die? Will Arya use his face in Season 8? Leave your comments below!
