A police chief's wife was found beaten nearly to death, partially buried and resuscitated in a grave in a national park. There is a potential suspect, Rick Sturgess, on the run; he was seen harassing Trish Gaines at a bar just hours before she was found. While there's an outstanding warrant and he's done time for sexual assault, he's never killed before, so they can't rule out any suspects. 13 Scariest Murderers on TV>>>

While Trish's body temperature is normal, she doesn't seem stable. She's shaking and sweating, signs she's going through withdrawal, possibly from an opiate or some other kind of prescription medication. When JJ asked her husband about alcohol and drugs, he vehemently denied it.
They need to find out what kind of drugs because that could have something to do with why she was attacked. Everyone in this town is less than forthcoming. If it's widespread in the community, everyone could be using, enabling or in denial. They have to profile the town.Criminal Minds
